A 6-year-old girl has died in a Detroit house fire that left three others critically injured.
Fire investigators say Asia Edwards was visiting friends at their home when she was killed Wednesday.
They tell WXYZ-TV the flames spread from a first-floor breakfast nook to the third floor where a family had gathered to watch television.
Andrea Wheeler was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Her 4-year-old son Tashawn and 8-year-old daughter Tanejiona initially were listed in critical condition. Tashawn has been updated to fair condition.
Detroit Fire Captain Steven Varnas tells The Detroit News the home had no working smoke detectors.
