A Michigan State Police trooper based in Manistee County is headed to jail for a week after hosting an underage drinking party at his home.

Robert Marble was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to two counts of attempting to let minors consume alcohol.

The 48-year-old apologized to District Judge David Hogg, the community and his department.

Sheriff's deputies arrested seven minors on August 19th for drinking alcohol at Marble's home in Brown Township. They said several of the youths were drunk.

The state police say they're investigating separately to determine Marble's future with the department.
