Police have identified a man who died while trying to help another driver after an accident on U.S. 127.
Police say Maliq Zeka of Lansing stopped at about 1:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving after seeing a pickup hit two guardrails and come to rest in the middle of the highway.
The Lansing State Journal says a third vehicle coming around a corner struck Zeka as he was getting out of his car.
Zeka was 44. WILX-TV says the immigrant from Kosovo was a husband and father of three children.
An investigation into the accidents continues.
