A third hunter has been accidentally shot in West Michigan during the opening week of the state's firearm deer season.
WOOD-TV reports that 45-year-old Joseph Babcock was trying to drive a deer toward his hunting partner yesterday in Calhoun County's Pennfield Township when he was shot through both legs.
Babcock was being treated at a local hospital.
A man was shot in the hip by his son on the season's opening day Thursday in Ionia County.
And police say a 52-year-old Marshall man also was shot in Calhoun County. His injury was reported as non-life threatening.
