If you live in southwest Michigan, there is a great way to help some local families in need as we head into the holiday season.
The 10th annual Y-Country Stuff-a-Truck drive got underway this morning in St. Joseph.
All the food and personal items donated go to the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency in Benton Harbor.
The donations are desperately needed to help families from around southwest Michigan.
“The pantry is empty right now,” says Yvonne Vidt of the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency. “Last year we raised five truckloads and 3,200 dollars. We ran that pantry until May. We are out of food, and remember everything stays right here in the community and there is no charge.”
You still have plenty of time to donate to the Y-Country Stuff-a-Truck drive. It runs through Friday.
Bring your donations between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. each day to Roger's Foodland at Glenlord and Hollywood in St. Joe.
Again, donations benefit the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency, and everything you give stays in southwest Michigan.
