Woman injured after Millersburg crash

Elkhart Co., Ind. A woman was hurt after wrecking her car Friday night in Elkhart County.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. along CR 29 North, north of CR 52 near Millersburg.

Alyssa Gortney, 23, of Cromwell was heading south when she says had a seizure behind the wheel.

Her car left the roadway and slammed into a tree.

The police report states that Gortney told police she fell asleep behind the wheel, however, Gortney says that is not true.

Gortney was taken to the hospital with head injuries but no word on her condition.

Her vehicle suffered heavy front end damage in the crash.
