Vocal talent earns a South Bend native a spot on NBC's "The Voice"

A South Bend native showed off his impressive vocal talent to a nation audience Monday night as he passed through the blind auditions on the season four premiere of “The Voice” on NBC.

Nineteen-year-old Vedo performed the song “Boyfriend” by Justin Bieber, a performance that won over the judges and earned him a spot on “Team Usher.”

The aspiring R&B star currently lives in Atlanta, but was back home in South Bend taking care of his mother, who has stage-4 lung cancer, when he found out he made it onto the show.
