A man charged with multiple counts of child molestation and violence was sentenced this Thursday to spend 15 years behind bars.
Timothy Hatton was charged back on July 28th, 2011 with a list of offenses including both Class A and Class C child molesting felonies, criminal deviate conduct, sexual battery and battery.
Hatton plead guilty to one count of child molesting as a Class B felony on Oct. 24th, 2012.
The maximum Hatton could serve for the charge was 20 years but at a sentencing hearing held this Thursday, Judge Robert Bowen sentenced Hatton to 15 years in prison with an additional five years of probation.
The judge ruled that Hatton will from here on out be designated as a violent sexual predator against children and will to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
