36-year-old Dustin Taylor was heading north on County Road 1 just before 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon. He attempted to pass another car on the road and lost control of his SUV, crashing into a tree just south of C.R. 16.
Taylor's injuries aren't life threatening. He has a broken wrist and chest pain.
He was cited for passing in a no-passing zone, and speeding too fast for weather conditions.
