(AP) - A man who twice previously was found incompetent to stand trial in the shooting death three years ago of his mother's fiancé has now been ruled competent.
The Times of Munster reports (http://bit.ly/SI8pRe ) the murder trial for 24-year-old Edward Ibarra is scheduled to get under way on Nov. 13. He is accused of killing 33-year-old Juan Garcia shortly before midnight Oct. 30, 2009.
Police say an argument over whether Ibarra was doing enough to help his mother around the house turned physical. Police say Ibarra left, but returned a couple of hours later and shot Garcia several times with a 9 mm handgun.
