UPDATE: suspect in Elkhart double murder pleads "Not Guilty"

The suspect in the shooting deaths of two store clerks in Elkhart has pleaded not guilty during his intitial court appearance.

28-year-old Kevin Moore was in Elkhart County Court on Thursday, after being formally charged on Wednesday for an alleged double murder.

Moore is accused of killing 55-year-old Bhatti Jagtar and 20-year-old Pawat Singh, two store clerks at Saleh's Market, east of downtown Elkhart.

Moore is being held in jail without bond. He will be back in court in October. His trial is set for February.
