Michiana is home to some big Hoosier Lotto winners this week.
21-year-old Wayne Hochstetler of Millersburg is the first winner of the new Hoosier game – the tax-free scratch-off lotto. He won $100,000 and gets to keep all of it; Hoosier Lotto covers the taxes.
Mark and Cheryl Jacobs of Mishawaka won nearly $77,777 with their super-7s ticket.
Both of them used to work in the RV industry in Elkhart, but they were forced to retire after a car accident nearly took their lives several years ago.
The Jacobs plan to use their winnings to take the honeymoon they never had to Hawaii.
