ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. A woman accused of posing as two fake Marines in order to coax thousands of dollars from Michiana residents was in court Wednesday.
The trail date for Kim Savage has been moved to March 20.
The 44-year-old faces theft charges stemming from a seven-year catfishing scam.
Back in October, two women came forward to the St. Joseph County Police Department.
The pair said Savage posed as two United States marines serving overseas needing money for protective equipment.
The women gave savage tens of thousands of dollars.
Up until her arrest, Savage worked as the head bookkeeper at the St. Joseph County Clerk's Office.
The clerk's office is confident savage didn't obtain or make any connection with the victims while she was at work.
