Six months ago a 7-year-old girl was shot and killed during a home invasion in Elkhart, and police still have not made any arrests related to the case.
Kristyana Jackson was shot in the head, and her father John, in the arm, when three armed men attempted to enter their family’s house on the west side of Elkhart.
Emergency crews transported the young girl to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery to try to stop the swelling in her brain. She later died in the hospital.
Since that tragic night police have been searching for the people responsible, but no arrests have been made.
