Former teacher Eric West appeared in court today after being charged with Inappropriate Communication With A Child.
Earlier this month Eric West, 30, was arrested and charged with the class-A misdemeanor after investigators found that he had sent inappropriate text messages to a former student on July 12,, 2012. The student, who is now 12 years-old, was in West’s 5th grade class at Walt Disney Elementary School in Mishawaka.
West did appear with legal counsel in court today, and has his upcoming status hearing set for November 28, 2012.
