Nearly 1,000 students, displaced by tornado damage, will be shuffled around again this fall.

A tornado tore through the Lafayette area in November, damaging two schools.

Security camera footage shows ceiling tiles and debris crashing into the hallway at Southwestern Middle School.

Students there, and at Mintonye Elementary School, have spent the last four months at temporary locations.

The kids will go through another move in the fall.

The younger students will head back into their school.

Meanwhile, the older ones will start the school year at another temporary location.

Repairs are just getting started on their building and will not be finished by August.
