Friday morning people around the world come together to celebrate an International Day of Peace.
Every year on September 21st, world leaders welcome peace with the ringing of the Peace Bell at the United Nations’ headquarters in New York.
Closer to home, Elkhart students are planting peace pinwheels and taking peace walks around the city.
The community is all invited to join the Mary Beck Elementary students in their Peace Walk at 1:00p.m. They ask families to wear either yellow or black, and have peace signs on them during the walk.
