The St. Joseph City Commission is working to replace city manager, Frank Walsh.
The commission is sorting through some 42 applications to find a permanent replacement, but in the meantime, a meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday to announce who will fill in as interim manager for now.
Walsh’s final day on May 6 is rapidly approaching and he is gearing up to take over the Township Manager position in Meridian Charter Twp. just outside Lansing on May 8.
The deadline for interested candidates to apply was last Friday. With the applicants names in tow, the commission will hold an informal meeting with their chosen finalists on May 10 and conduct interviews the following day.
