The flu virus has hit Americans hard this year, but precautions can still be taken by getting a vaccination.

On Monday Jan. 14, the St. Joseph County Health Department is offering a free flu-mist nasal spray vaccine for school aged children.

Parents can bring their kids in from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then again between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the South Bend Clinic location in the County City Building.

The vaccines will be available without any appointments or reservations.
