The South Bend Common Council is seeking citizen volunteers to serve on a number of committees, shaping city legislation.
6th district council member Oliver Davis says there are two openings available on each of 11 committees. Those volunteers will actually have a vote in committee proceedings.
“Their vote could be the swing vote regarding different matters that are happening in our city,” Davis says. “We want them to know their voice is important.”
To volunteer, sign up at the City Clerk’s Office. The deadline is January 31.
