TERRE HAUTE, Ind. Indiana State Police say someone strangled a woman whose body was found with a man's remains in rural western Indiana.

Police say Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos released some preliminary findings Tuesday, one day after autopsies were performed on the bodies found Saturday under a small bridge on a driveway leading to an abandoned home outside Terre Haute. A truck belonging to one of the victims was found nearby.

Police say the man's cause of death is pending after the autopsy found no physical injuries consistent with causing his death. Toxicology results also are pending.

Investigators say they have no evidence to suggest anyone other than the man caused the woman's death.

Police say DNA testing might be needed to identify the victims.
