A semitrailer has overturned on Interstate 69 near Indianapolis and blocked all southbound traffic for hours.
The Indiana Department of Transportation said in a Twitter post the crash Wednesday was expected to leave the southbound lanes closed until nearly 11 p.m. near mile marker 5 in Fishers. Southbound traffic was being diverted at mile marker 10.
Emergency officials in Fishers say the crash has sparked a brush fire. They're advising drivers to avoid the area.
Police say the semi was driving on the shoulder of the interstate when it suddenly swerved to avoid a concrete barrier, went out of control and ended up on its side.
