Semi accident on Indiana Tollway claims driver's life
The driver of a semi-tractor trailer has died following a crash on the Indiana Toll Road early Sunday morning.
Indiana State Police say the truck collided with a brick pillar at the 72 mile marker near the Toll Road’s South Bend west exit by the airport. The accident happened around 1:20am.
Police say the east bound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road closed for rescue crews to remove the vehicle from the scene.
The name of the semi-driver has not been released. The crash is still under investigation.
