An attendant at a South Bend bowling alley was left rattled as he closed up shop this weekend when gunshots broke out in the parking lot.

Just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, the attendant at Chippewa Bowl got involved in a dispute with two patrons who had left the bowling alley still wearing their bowling shoes.

When the attendant followed them outside to write down their car’s license plate number and potentially identify them, one of the men in the car fired two shots from him gun in the attendant’s direction.

Police were called to the scene but were unable to track down the suspects.
