St. Joe Co., Ind. Another case of alleged official misconduct in St. Joseph County was back in the courtroom Thursday.
Susan Hammons, 61, was charged back in January for crimes committed while she served as the elected clerk-treasurer for the town of Roseland.
She was accused of using funds drawn on the town's bank account to pay the rent on her private residence during a two month period in 2009.
Hammons, who has since resigned, pleaded guilty Thursday to two felony counts of theft and will be sentenced on September 11.
A third felony charge of official misconduct is still pending.
If it's not resolved during the hearing next month, it will be set for trial.
