South Bend Restaurant Week in South Bend certainly had a rough start as the chilly weather and emergency road restriction earlier this week forced businesses to close.

Now that the roads are clear and businesses are up and running folks can get rid of their cabin fever and enjoy a few meals.

Restaurant week was supposed to run from January 27th to February 9th, but thanks to the weather that didn’t happen. Restaurants are now thinking of adding a couple days because they didn’t start until January 28th. Many will follow their restaurant week menu until February 11th.

14 restaurants are participating this year. They include Baker’s Bar and Grille at the Doubletree Hotel, East Bank Emporium, Le Peep, The Vine, Café Navarre, Fiddler’s Hearth Public House, South Bend Chocolate Café, Woochi Japanese Fusion & Bar, Chicory Café, LaSalle Grill, Sunny Italy Café, Ciao’s Lounge, LaSalle Kitchen & Tavern and Tippecanoe Place Restaurant.

Each restaurant will offer either a multiple course meal for $33 per person OR dinner for two for $33.This year about 10% of the cost of each meal will be donated to Memorial Children's Hospital .
