It is the first year Purdue South Bend is offering high schoolers a summer camp focused on engineering and building electric go-karts.

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to register online for the 3-day camp, encompassing all things-engineering.

Organizers hope high school students gain an early appreciation for engineering, and have some fun too. Participants will have time in the classroom, hands-on experience in the lab plus a chance to actually drive working, electric go-karts on a South Bend race track.

The camps start in Mid-June and run through July, so organizers are encouarging parents to get their students signed up now.

It is all going on in the Purdue technology building on the IU-South Bend campus. Click here to register and to learn more about Purdue South Bend.
