Prosecutors want former Indiana secretary of state Charlie White to start serving his sentence for vote fraud and other felonies.
Special prosecutor Dan Sigler tells The Indianapolis Star that his team has filed a motion seeking enforcement of the sentence of one year on home detention.
White has remained free since he was convicted a year ago of six felonies that also include perjury and fraud. Hamilton Superior Court Judge Steven Nation allowed White to postpone the sentence while he appealed his convictions, but White asked to stop his appeal last fall to pursue post-conviction relief before Nation.
Sigler says White hasn't filed anything with the court in the five months since that happened.
The felony convictions forced White out of office.
