A search is underway for the suspect in an attempted bank robbery in Granger, Ind.

St. Joseph County police confirm they responded to the Community Wide Federal Credit Union Saturday morning.

Lt. Matt Blank tells Newscenter 16 that an older white male entered the bank and asked the teller for money. The teller refused and the suspect fled the scene.

The man was wearing a brown sweater with yellow lettering that read "O7." Police say the suspect did not display a weapon while inside the bank.

Canine units were brought to the scene to track the suspect's scent, but they were unsuccessful.

No arrests have been made at this point.

WNDU's photographer on the scene said numerous officers are in the area.
