South Bend, Ind. St. Joseph County Police believe a snow plow truck is responsible for a hit-and-run that involved three cars and resulted in minor injuries.
The accident took place at the intersection of Cleveland Rd. and Hickory Rd. around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. William Redman of the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Dept. says the wet, slushy weather is likely to blame.
“The road conditions of course are not very pleasant right now,” Redman said. “There were only minor injuries as a result of the crash, yes, we’re fortunate.”
Police say it might be easier to track the driver of this plow down because it was a marked, private vehicle company.
“There were some markings on the snow plow that were looking into,” Redman said. “We've got a couple different business names that we're looking and a couple possibilities on a potential suspect that we're looking into as well.”
