Police say the son of a missing southeast Michigan man described as a person of interest in a violent altercation at their home has been arrested in the investigation into his father's death.
Authorities say they believe 55-year-old Patrick Mikes Sr. was killed in his basement in Troy. His sons said he left on his bike July 27 when they reported him missing two days later. A body hasn't been found.
Twenty-one-year-old Patrick Mikes Jr. earlier was charged with using credit cards belonging to his 16-year-old brother. Police say he was arrested again Wednesday and is expected to appear Thursday in court. Police say they have DNA blood evidence linking him in the case.
Defense lawyer Christopher Andreoff tells the Detroit Free Press he doesn't know what evidence police have.
