The public is invited to play dodgeball for a good cause. The South Bend Airport has partnered with Allegiant Airlines and the National Dodgeball League to host a fun event to raise money for area charities.
The tournament is going on at the Grid Iron in front of the old College Football Hall of Fame in Downtown South Bend on Friday, August 2nd.
Teams must register by Sunday, July 28, with a roster of 6 to 10 players, 18 and older. The groups must be co-ed and the cost is a $100 donation per team.
All proceeds go to benefit 3 local charities, United Way, the Kelly Cares Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County.
The event is going on in conjunction with South Bend's First Fridays, so the public is invited to spectate and enjoy live music.
Additionally, the winning team will receive a "Victory Party" courtesy of Fiddler's Hearth in South Bend.
