WARSAW A pickup was pulled out of a creek, and police say the driver was drunk. However they can’t charge Carl Saint, 35, for operating while intoxicated, because too much time passed before they found out about the incident.
According to Stacey Page Online, the truck was found in Eagle Creek, near the intersection of S Columbia and Godman in Warsaw.
Saint had reportedly borrowed the truck. He drove into the creek after he dropped a date off at home, following a night of heavy drinking.
He can't be charged with OWI, but police did arrest him on a different warrant. They also cited him for driving without insurance.
Saint was an EMT with Mentone EMS for 12 years, until October 2013. He also ran for Kosciusko County coroner in 2012.
