A church in the town of Pendleton is planning a prayer vigil to try to bring the community together following the fatal shooting of a man returning home and two police officers being wounded by a gunman who then killed himself.
WISH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/MQgNAk ) Pendleton Christian Church will host a prayer vigil in the church's auditorium 7 p.m. Friday. The vigil is being held in the wake of the shooting death Thursday night of 48-year-old businessman John Neal Shull Jr. and the two officers being wounded. A police dog was also was killed.
The gunman was found dead Friday morning. He has been identified as 59-year-old Kenneth James Bailey of New Castle.
Pendleton is a community about 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
