Man shot in both legs in South Bend overnight

SOUTH BEND A man was shot in both legs and is now in stable condition at the hospital.

Police were called out to a gas station at the intersection of Adams and Lincoln way just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, officers at a local hospital reported a vehicle arrived with a shooting victim inside.

The victim was Jamar Vines, 30, of Chicago.

He said he was talking to his friend while standing beside the car at the gas station, when a van pulled up and fired the shots, then drove off.

His friend then gave him a ride to the hospital.

No arrested have been made yet.
