KNOX A major demolition project begins early Wednesday morning in Knox, and by the end of the week, Main Street will have a new empty lot.

WKVI reports that the old Knox theater and the structure that used to house the Starke County Economic Development office are coming down for safety reasons.

Some of the historic pieces of the buildings were moved to the Starke County museum last year.

The actual demolition work will wrap up Wednesday, and it will take about three days to clear out the rubble.
