Berrien County Sherriff’s department is paying tribute to one of their deputies who passed away this week.
Deputy Mike Moore, 35, died after battling Liposarcoma, soft tissue cancer. In January of 2011, fellow Berrien County officers and community members gathered to shave their heads and raise money for the dutiful deputy.
In remembrance and respect of Moore’s passing, deputies from the sheriff’s department are standing guard over Deputy Moore for 24 hours-a-day until his funeral later on this week.
