Notre Dame shoots BCS student commercial

With the Notre Dame football team heading to Miami for the National Championship, students are hoping to do more than simply watch the game.

Today students from the University of Notre Dame came out to be part of the BCS broadcast themselves in a 30-second advertisement that will run during the game.

Both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Alabama were given a free slot to show off their universities to a national audience.

This past week students found out that the Notre Dame commercial would be shot on campus via email and social media, and showed up in full force in hopes of being part of what could be the largest audience for a college game in history.

“I think it’s like a once and a lifetime opportunity. You never know if we are going to a national championship again so we might as well do it while we have the opportunity” said Notre Dame student Kelsey Sullivan.

After congregating by the Knute Rockne statue, students eventually headed into the stadium to continue the commercial shoot.

This year the university says it is going with a different theme for the advertisement, but that theme has not been announced.
