The University of Notre Dame is planning on moving Douglas Road farther away from campus to make walking safer around the area. The university plans on sharing its plans with the people who live nearby tomorrow night.
The plan would involve moving Douglas to the north directly across from the entrance to the Toll Road. Right now, White Field parking area currently occupies the spot where the road would cut across.
The new Douglas Road would intersect with Juniper just north of the current intersection, and then go southeast along the outside of Warren Golf Course before rejoining with the current Douglas Road and heading east.
The University of Notre Dame’s meeting with the public on its plan will be held Tuesday, October 30, at 7 p.m. at the Gillespie Center at the Hilton Garden Inn.
