Emergency crews in Mishawaka responded to an early morning mobile home fire.
Firefighters were called to Village Green Community around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The home is located on Emerald Ct. just off 12th St. This area is on the city’s south side.
Flames started in the chimney. Homeowners had already taken steps to put them out by the time crews arrived.
No one was injured and the scene was cleared a little after 9 a.m.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
