INDIANAPOLIS A prosecutor says he won't file criminal charges in connection with this summer's Indianapolis church bus crash that killed three passengers.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry said Monday that investigators found no criminal activity in connection with the July 27 crash.

A police report released Friday blamed the crash on the bus traveling too fast for Interstate 465 exit ramp. The vehicle failed to negotiate a turn onto Keystone Avenue.

The bus was driven by Dennis Maurer, a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. The crash occurred about a mile from the church on Indianapolis' north side.

Colonial Hills Deacon Jeff Leffew said in a statement last week that Maurer was a beloved church member who's still recovering from his injuries. A telephone call to Maurer's home rang unanswered Monday.
