All the hard work put into running the South Bend Park System has paid off.
The South Bend Park Department has been accredited by the national association “CAPRA,” The Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreational Agencies.”
The South Bend Park Department will keep CAPRA’s seal of approval for five years, in the company of other elite parks throughout the country.
Phil St. Clair, Director of South Bend Parks says, “there are 102 cities or I should say there are 102 agencies throughout the united states, that have met this criteria, there are close to 10-thousand different agencies, park and recreation agencies across the united states. And this includes military county city state park systems.”
