Conservation officers say a northern Indiana man has died in an apparent accident while riding an all-terrain vehicle.
Officers say 50-year-old William Toepher Jr. of Peru was found dead Sunday morning at the Wabash Valley Coon Hunter's Club on Francis Slocum Trail in Miami County. Toepher was found pinned between a tree and the vehicle.
Toepher had last been seen around 4 p.m. Saturday, and when he didn't return home, his wife contacted members of the club Sunday morning. They found him and contacted police.
An autopsy will be performed.
