RENSSELAER, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana man is facing criminal charges for allegedly making a false bomb threat that forced the evacuation of an auto parts warehouse.
Kristopher Larson of Monticello was arrested in White County on criminal mischief and intimidation charges. The 37-year-old is being held on a $25,000 surety bond at the Jasper County Jail.
The Journal & Courier reports officers cleared employees from the 550,000-square-foot Advance Auto Parts warehouse in Remington on June 24 after police received a report of a bomb threat.
Police said a bomb threat written on a bathroom stall in an employee restroom stated that a bomb had been placed in the building and would go off that day.
No explosive devices were located, and the threat was deemed a hoax.
