GOSHEN, Ind. -- A mysterious wall painting has been discovered at a historic building, during its transformation into a space for Michiana artists.

The Hawks Furniture building in Goshen is currently under construction.

It had a groundbreaking ceremony this week, to celebrate the renovation.

According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, after the ceremony, a woman pointed out a faded painting depicting four men, possibly in soldier uniforms.

The piece was found near a door on the building's third floor.

Constructions crews are working to turn the former industrial building into 35 apartments for artists and entrepreneurs.

No specific details about the painting's history are available yet.
