Mourdock jumps gun on healthcare ruling
Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock is accidentally giving Hoosiers a preview of how he'll respond to the U.S. Supreme Court's pending ruling on the federal health care law.
The Mourdock campaign uploaded a series of videos to Youtube Thursday with various reactions ranging from elation to determination to keep fighting the law if the court upholds it. Mourdock spokesman Chris Conner says the campaign was "being prepared" for whatever the justices decide.
Indiana Democratic Party spokesman Ben Ray says the videos are proof of Mourdock's purely political motivations.
Mourdock is running against U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly for the Senate. Mourdock defeated longtime U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar in a grueling primary last month.
