Mishawaka firefighter facing two felony charges after weekend arrest

Mishawaka, Ind. A Mishawaka firefighter is facing two felony charges and one misdemeanor after being arrested over the weekend.

Eric Hazen is charged with neglect of a dependent, intimidation and resisting arrest.

According to charging documents, St.Joe County Police were called to do a welfare check on Hazen's six-year-old son last Saturday.

Hazen was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent by putting his son is a situation that endangered the boy's health.

Hazen was also charged with intimidation for threatening an officer at the scene...

As well as resisting arrest after scuffling with two officers who attempted to take him into custody.

Hazen bonded out of jail the next day.

He's scheduled to make his initial court appearance on October 7.
