Michiana teachers take part in first ISP Active Shooter training

Local school administrators got a lesson in emergency response on Monday.

Indiana State Police held its very first Safe Schools Active Shooter training session at Knox Middle School.

More than 40 administrators from Starke and Pulaski counties came to the event to learn how to handle a shooting situation and get their children out alive.
