After feeling like old man winter has lingered too far into spring, Saturday’s weather can be described pretty easily.
“Phenomenal weather,” says Cody Vondermehden
“This is probably the best day,” says Christopher White
“Well, I love the weather,” says Samuel Baldwin
Folks enjoyed the weather by South Bends River Walk.
Many were biking, others were running, and some were just taking stroll with friends and family.
“The best part about warm weather is where you can wear shorts,” continues Baldwin.
“I like to swim, bike and run and get out and enjoy the weather,” says Vondermehden.
“Just walk around actually and hang out with friends outside,” continues White.
For one of the out-of-towners, this was quite an experience.
“You know, this is actually the first time I have been here before and I can tell you that it is a once in a lifetime experience. Is there kayakers that come down here often... cause I would love to do something like that, awesome,” says Vondermehden.
For one business known for its patio, this warm weather is just a tease because they know there are colder temperatures to come.
“Yes, furniture was out a lot earlier last year because in February we had some really warm days last year. We were in the 80s I think a couple days and people were asking so we got it out here as soon as we could. This year, it has been a little longer winter so we are waiting a little bit but it’s really close. I would imagine early April, probably the first 2 weeks of April we will probably have it out,” says Emporium General Manager, Shawn Dickens
