ROSEDALE A Michiana native is the victim of murder in west central Indiana.

55-year-old Kathryn Bays died of blunt trauma to the head, on Friday in her Rosedale, Parke County home.

The Tribune-Star in Terre Haute reports that the suspect, 52-year-old Earl Edwards, turned himself into police in Georgia and is expected to be brought back to Parke County to face charges Wednesday.

Bays grew up in Leesburg and was a graduate of Warsaw High School.

A funeral will be held in Rosedale this Friday.
